DO NOT LOOK AWAY is a rumination on the realities of generational trauma. These works explore a personal lineage of mental health problems, alcoholism, and abuse, reflecting the ways familial patterns can echo down a bloodline. In making tangible the pain of vicious cycles, this work simultaneously contemplates what it means to carry the burden of breaking these cycles.
